He was often found cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events or spending time with his dear friends. He had a knack for finding a good deal, whether at the store or at a garage sale. In his spare time, Doug enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and listening to music, especially oldies and classic country. After high school, Doug operated the Mobil Station in Watertown before he began his 30+ year career as a forklift operator for Sysco. As a young boy, Doug made many fond memories helping on his grandparents’ farm. Doug grew up in Watertown, where he completed high school. on Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.ĭouglas John Edward Maass was born May 19, 1944, in Watertown to Elmer and Emogean (Winkler) Maass.
